Xavier played like a top ten team, and GW hung with them. Down 8 at halftime, GW fought back to tie it with tough defense and decent offense, but in the end Xavier pulled away. Diggs led with 19 points and 9 rebounds and Johnny Lee (!) had 14, including 3 threes.
Xavier Alexander was strong on defense as usual and got 7 boards. The guys played with intensity in the second half, getting back, grabbing good offensive boards, and hitting big shots. The game felt like a March Madness game, and a few more free throws could have shifted the balance.
