Rumor: Donyell Marshall is the new GW assistant coach

That's what folks on GWHoops have to say, it's going to be former NBA player and UConn Huskie Donyell Marshall. The GWHoopsters say it's mainly for recruiting, he has a lot of AAU contacts and his son is a good prospect. I'm ok with that, though I really think GW needs an Xs and Os guy to replace Mike Ellerbe, who left to work at DePaul.

I don't believe Hobbs recruited Marshall, who played for 8 different NBA teams from 1994 to 2009, and later worked as an analyst for Comcast SportsNet.


Let's hope Marshall remembers his clothes this time:





Of course, he also hit 12 3-pointers in a game once, so he knows how to shoot.
